Devious Debating

There is one particular dorky strategy in an argument or a debate to get the sympathy of the audience. If your opponent has a good argument that you can not attack directly, you attack the validity of the argument by discrediting the way in which it was presented.

Example:

You:Pi is exactly 3
Opponent: no, Pi is about 3.14 etc.etc.
You: You're such a smart ass
